Jasmine
Here's a view of Jasmine's front hooves. She is a quarter horse used to play polocrosse. She's a great horse but was born with some terrible feet. Low heels, thins soles, and thin walls are a terrible combination for a horse. Her feet grow very slowly and break up at the ground surface especially in the quarters. We tried to keep her out of pads but today we decided we needed to try something else. Her heels were getting pretty sore so I decided to raise them with a leather wedge pad, which the leather should keep the wall from breaking up at the bottom, and a natural balance shoe to aide in breakover.
